It was an early rise yesterday to get ready for my second ever outing for Paint balling. There was a group of about 20 or so attending the event so all in all it looked like it was going to be a fun day.
We arrived at Delta Force in Holmes Chapel at around 9:30am and were issued with our kit of mask, overalls and body armour that choose to wear it( I made the mistake of deciding not to wear it ). All of us made our way to the safety briefing to be informed of the do’s and don’ts and just how powerful these modern paintball guns are.
Our first game was the all time classic of capture the flag and it did not take long to find out the pain involved in this supposedly none contact sport, when running for the flag and being hit with what felt like a thousand rounds.
The games are well organised and last from 10 to 20mins and involve various scenarios and aims to achieve but the main aim always to try and pepper your opponents with as many paint balls as possible.
I enjoyed the day immensely and have the bruises to prove it and would look forward to another outing some time soon.
