Cheap HD Movies!

Microsoft have cut the price of their HD-DVD worldwide, meaning you can now snag a 360 HD-DVD player for as little as £65, half the price of the £130 launch price of November 2006. Given that Hi-def is Hi-def whichever format you choose, it may be a cheap way for you to test out that HDTV you bought last year but have never actually played a HD movie on.

In a statement, Blair Westlake, a corporate vice president of Microsoft’s media and entertainment group said:

“HD DVD is one of the several ways we offer a high definition experience to consumers and we will continue to give consumers the choice to enjoy digital distribution of high definition movies and TV shows directly to their living room, along with playback of the DVD movies they already own.”

Its made all the cheaper by many shops (read: ASDA/Morrisons/Tesco et al) having some great deals on HD-DVD titles while stocks last.

So.. What are you waiting for?
