Coolest Keyboard Ever?

It even has a cool name - the Optimus Maximus, but one thing that certainly isn’t cool is the £800 price tag. The keyboard, designed by Russian team Art Lebedev, has to be the ultimate enthusiasts dream, with the ability to fully customise every single one of the 113 OLED keys with any image of your choice using an intuitive, easy to use configuration program . Art Lebedev is only producing small numbers at this moment in time with about 200 in circulation, most definitely making you the centre of attention of any LAN-party for some time to come if you are lucky/rich enough to get one.

And if you are really desperate to own one but havent quite got the cash to splash you can always go for the pay-as-you-go scheme and buy the beginners kit at £230 with just one OLED key (the spacebar). The rest being usual standard plastic affair with the option to buy extra OLED keys at around £7 a key as and when you can afford them - it would only take 2 years at a key a week before you get the whole set!

Personally, I think I’d wait for the Optimus Tactus as it seems to be a much sleeker & cost effective solution.
