For the ultimate boys toy in gaming systems, BFG Technology have revealed the Phobos, a gaming system and home theatre in one. Controlled entirely from the LCD touch panel, which can display storage, processor, memory and network data, the Phobos boasts the Intel Core i7, two GeForce GTX 295 Graphics cards, and a liquid cooling system for the CPU and GPUs. It all comes packaged in a black gloss finished case which also includes a cable management system to prevent the usual unsightly look that snakes out of the back of the system.
Windows Vista Ultimate with Media Centre comes bundled with the unit and controls the home theatre of a Blu-ray player, a TV Tuner with DVR, surround sound audio cards and an iPod/iPhone synching/charging station. Each unit is hand built and when you buy the system a concierge service comes with it which includes installation and after six months, a maintenance visit.
The Phobos comes in 3 different flavours. Starting at $3000 is the Phobos Performance, from $5000 is the Phobos Advanced and from $8000 is the Phobos Elite.
These big boy’s toys require big boy’s money, but if it’s high end performance you need in your gaming and an advanced home theatre in your home, the Phobos can deliver with high end components at its core.
