T-mobile have announced they are to launch google’s own version of the Iphone the G1. It was first thought that users would be restricted to just 1GB per month but further reports have suggested that this will be scrapped from the terms and conditions.
It has been widely suggested that the G1 will only be available in regions that are covered by T-mobile 3G network. One thing that will also go in googles favour is that you must have a google account to use the phone, given googles following I don’t think this will put many people off.
The phone will come equipped with a 3.1 mega pixel camera although it will not have the capability to shot video which may have an effect on it’s desirability. The phone does also lack blue tooth support for stereo which was also sadly lacking on the iPhone, but they have included GPS.
Given the phone has just been released I’am sure there will be a certain amount of teething problems just as the IPhone suffered but it does show a lot of promise.
