Chief scientist Laurie Finchman of THX thinks so. Apparently he envisions a future where we will be able to go into a store and download the latest HD films directly onto a flash drive which, by the time Blu-Ray truly becomes the ubiquitos format, will be able to store 120Gb or more - enough to store 4 or 5 HD movies at a time. Given that 21st Century Fox are already planning on delivering in-store ‘downloadable’ movies by the end of the year, this could well be true.
