A new jet pack has been displayed this week at the Experimental Aircraft Association’s Airventure show. The jet pack has been 27 years in development by the company Martin Jet-pack, there vision is that in years to come the jet pack will be capable of 30 minutes jaunts across the sky.
Inventor Glenn Martin advised that there will be a number of uses for the machine such as search and rescue operations, but also for just plain old fun. They envisage the jet pack selling along the same lines as a jet ski but with a price tag of around £100,000 the audience is somewhat limited.
The jet pack weighs a whopping 113 kilograms and is designed to carry a piot verticaly, with minor adjustments it may be able to move horizontally at a limit of 97 KPH that is 60 MPH.
