One gadget that could take off this year is the LG GD910 and it is a phone disguised as a wrist watch. Very similar to the prototype debuted by LG at the MWC 2008 only this time it is for real and it will be shown off at the CES 2009 next month.
The LG GD910 is 13.9mm thick and has a 1.4 inch LCD touch screen display. The USP of this device is the ability to do 3G video calls courtesy of a front facing camera.
The phone watch has HSDPA, Bluetooth, voice dialing, speech recognition, text to speech and music player. There is no information available yet on pricing or availability, but expect us to keep you up to date on this.
It will be interesting to see if other manufactures try developing this type of phone device.
