Natural to Hold

Taking good quality pictures and videos these days is about as easy as pressing a button. The camcorders come pretty much setup or the auto function on them will correct everything for you before you start snapping away or recording that masterpiece. So what else can manufacturers do to their gadgets to make things easier for us amateur photographers? Samsung has come up with something that is unique for camcorders in their comfort of use.

The HMX-R10 sweeps away the traditional way of implementing the lens by mounting it at an angle allowing for a more comfortable grip. The lens is set at 25 degrees and so putting less stress on your hand and wrist.

It functions as a full HD recorder that can also take 9 megapixel digital stills. The gadget contains a 5 x optical zoom giving good distance recording and for configuring the camcorder there is a 2.7 inch touchscreen which lets you easily navigate through the menus. It has HDMI, Component and Composite interfaces to connect to your TV or any other gadget these are compatible with. For storage of your pictures and video recordings there is a SD/SDHC slot.

Not sure how us amateurs will take to the price tag of $550 though, but I can see the angled lens becoming the standard in the future.
