Nokia have a new device called the Locate Sensor which is essentially a new gadget that helps you keep track of your wallet, keys and even your children in extreme cases! The device, still in the prototype stage is expected to be a popular accessory over 2009.
The final device will be smaller than this early version but you can attach your belongings to it and then start the associated application on your Smartphone (preferably a Nokia). If you were to drop your stuff or lose your kids then the application would alert you and guide you to either, a) your stuff or b) your kids!
The Locate Sensor doesn’t use GPS technology; it uses either Bluetooth Class 1 or even Wi-Fi. Amazingly, the application doesn’t just support one device, it can actually support up to 100 of them so you can track pretty much all your belongings. Operation lasts up to 18 months without a recharge.
