Organising parties can be really hard to do sometimes. You have to try and arrange food, decorations, presents activities and entertainment. That’s all before you even come to trying to draw up a guest list.
Unfortunately the food has to be done manually, although there are some pretty good party food sets available from all the big supermarkets like Tesco and Sainsburys. They tend to be mini versions of normal food, like small donuts and mini sausage rolls. I even saw one with miniscule burgers and hot dogs once.
In terms of arranging decorations and activities, it might be worth looking into buying pre-packaged party bags. You can get them for almost every type of party occasion; wedding, birthday, baby shower, you name it. They tend to come with a bunch of great items too, including mini-toys and games to keep you entertained.
So, now you have your food sorted and some of your activities sorted. It is worth setting up some sort of sound system. If you are old enough and are planning on having alcohol, having a good sound set up is important. People like listening to music while they mingle.
The guest list part is up to you, if you do not have many people coming but want more, it is worth allowing them to bring a guest to pad the number of people out.
