PDA handhelds are a brilliant bit of kit for any individual that wants to be kept up to date when on the move, in business or just for pleasure.
One of the most popular ones being the Blackberry 8800 which has been around for some time now and is in the top end of price range. The boot up time for 8800 is very impressive at around the 3 minutes mark with previous models taking as long as 15 mins this is quite an improvement.
The 320 x 420 pixel screen is good enough for all display needs and with 65k for color you will be suitably impressed with your photo’s. The interface boasts 16mb of Ram and 64MB of inbuilt memory but some of that memory is taken up with systems file, OS etc but it will be supplied with a MicroSD card to help out.
Other accessories that are provided with handset are a charger with options for 2 and 3 pin plugs (handy for the holiday season). It also has a free pair of hands free stero headphones and leather case to protect the phone complete with belt clip and to top it all off a software disc with the Blackberry desk top Manager.
One of the down sides to the PDA is that if you rely on it to keep up with all the latest news from the office and run out of battery it can leave you with a bit of a headache. My suggestion would be to make sure that you have a spare PDA Battery to hand at all times so you can always access those urgent emails.
These are a great bit of kit all in all and allow people to work on the move and will only get better as time goes on so keep your eyes peeled for updates.
