Everyday I come home and throw some more change in a jar. Sometimes I take some out, but it keeps adding up. I keep promising myself to change it up every now and then, but I’ve no idea how much I have got and I can’t be bothered to count it up to put into little bags to take to the bank. So it keeps pilling up until the jars full and I need to start another one. Well this can now change with a gadget called the Digital Coin Saving jar.
A simple jar with a lid that contains an electronic counter and an LCD display. Every time you put a coin in the slot it adds the value to the display, keeping a running total of what’s in the jar. The electronic counter can recognise all of our English coinage. When you want to spend some of the loot, just key the amount into the lid and it deducts it from the total. What could be simpler. Now when I want to bag up the change I can empty the jar and just put in coppers or silver coins and it will add them up for me.
The lid takes 2 AAA batteries to power the display and the whole thing can be had for about £13.
