Sony and Sharp Invest in Each Other

Sony and Sharp have decided that sometimes two heads are better than one. They are investing £641 Million into a factory that will manufacture LCD TV’s.

The original deal was going to see Sony take a 34% stake in the factory and Sharp take the rest but it seems that Sony will be looking at taking more of a share with the way the market is at the moment.

Sony have always been the leading company for development. The only problem with their methods are that they will develop a new technology and nearly go bankrupt doing. I think that they are trying to clam that wave down with this move.

If you think back to the Playstation 2. Sony were nearly bankrupt when they put it into production, they were very lucky that the PS2 took off. Again with the PS3 they made a loss but they will make the money back on the production and making of blu-ray discs, they even take a small fortune from the sales of every game.
