Engadget have just reportde that Sony have demonstrated a 3.5inch 0.2mm thick OLED display alongside a larger 11inch 0.3mm thick display. Currently the resolutions are lacking slightly with the 11inch coming in at 960 x 540 pixels although both Sony and Samsung demonstrated a 27inch and 31inch display at CES 2008 (video below). The larger models are purportedly capable of full 1080p resolutions with a staggering 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio. Prices for the larger models haven’t been disclosed yet but Sony’s 11inch XEL-1 will be available for a wallet-hurting £850.
