Sony have done it once again when it comes to the LED market with their super slim OLED Marvel. It was first thought it would not be released until 2009 but word has it that it could be on sale as early as October.
The TV uses an organic LED that does not need the usually back light which has resulted in the TV measuring a mere 3mm in thickness. This has however effected the screen size as they can go to no more than 11 inches in size. The XEL-1 does not have a confirmed UK price tag but it is estimated that it will be around £1500 so better get saving now.
It will interesting to see what the picture quality is like and wether it can hold it’s own against the fuller figure television, watch this space for your update.
