A scientist from the University of Tokyo has developed a exoskeleton for your dear old gran. If granny is struggling to make that cup of tea or even dress herself this is the answer to her prayers.
The gadget consists of a tabard worn over the shoulders with a motorized exoskeleton worn over one arm.The exoskeleton measures the angle, torque and nerve impulses of the arm and then assists the user to move his or her arm. This gadget is aimed at giving the ageing population a certain standard of living back with plans in the future to develop a full body exoskeleton.
