Well, it had to happen. Ever since portable gadgets became diverse and smaller, something had to come along that combined all of them in the smallest package possible. And you’ll never guess what it is. A watch!
I know, I thought the watch had had its day too, what with phones and other gadgets being able to tell the time, but it looks like the wrist watch is fighting back in the form of the Dyal SWAP mobile phone watch. There is pretty much nothing that this small device cannot do.
A 1.5 inch TFT touch screen allows you to control and watch movies, listen to music, surf the web, send and receive text and e-mail messages. It contains a 1.3 megapixel camera allowing you to take pictures or record videos. The SWAP has 512Mb of onboard memory and a Micro SD card slot for another 2Gb of storage and supports MP3, MIDI, AAC and MP4.
It is compatible with all networks except 3, so slip in your SIM card and with the included Bluetooth headset, make or receive calls with ease. For making calls or controlling anything else on the touch screen, a stylus is provided that slots into the strap. The headset is also used as a mic when recording videos.
The battery is said to last 100 hours on standby and up to 180 minutes talk time.
Oh I almost forgot, it has a watch face when nothing else is being used.
