O2 are about to release a gadget to replace all of those post-it notes we all leave around for the rest of the members of our family. The O2 Joggler will cost around £150 or be an option for a free upgrade on your old handsets.
This device is seen as something that can organise your family’s lives giving them information on when things are happening and where they need to be. It will even send them a text message reminder to their mobile phone. A 7 inch touchscreen will sit anywhere in the home and provide access to information from Trafficmaster telling you where the black spots are, news and sports headlines from Sky throughout the day and a four day weather forecast for most cities around the world and 60 towns in the UK, also from Sky.
In addition to that the Joggler can display some 200 photos from its internal 1GB memory or alternatively from an external USB stick, play music or videos from the memory or stream it from your PC and hear them through the built in speakers, play games, listen to pre-set internet radio stations (available at a later date) and use O2’s electronic calendar online or in stand alone form.
Also allowing text messages to be sent to the Joggler, this could be a common tool in many households in the near future.
